Iran attacked by a virus
14.11.2011 12:07:50 November 13th Head of the Department to protect the rear Kulzamirza Jalili reported on the detection of virus-spy named doco. The spread of computer virus has been halted and an engineer to write a program which allows to neutralize the virus. Program in a matter of urgency was given to all state departments of Iran. This virus exploits vulnerability of Windows and to create it is espionage, it is obvious that the main purpose of the cyber attacks were Iran's nuclear facilities.
By the way this is not the first time in Iran in the summer of 2010 was another cyber attack on the country's nuclear facilities.
Few will comment on my own (as I usually like to do this):
Apparently the service of Iran very well with cyber attacks, and this is understandable, as the slightest leak on their part could lead to war on their territory.
On the other hand to install Windows on computers so important is a bit silly, given the abundance of holes in it. But surely the fact that a more secure Unix-like systems do not have the right to design software. But even in this case can be very security reasons such as creating a layer of virtual machines. In the end, you can limit the Windows computers on the Internet and to prohibit their users from using untested media.
For example if you set the main system Linux (Debian, Ubuntu or another), it set the virtual machine (VirtualBox), but already in place virtualke Windows with Internet disconnected, such a scheme will allow you to use most Windows programs for designing and yet use the Internet at the main system and almost no risk of infection trojan.
